We welcome the legendary Doctor X back to Bonzai Records with one of his most recognisable hits. Doctor X emerged from Belgiums explosive 90s dance scene, making a serious impact with the rave classic The Fly Is Still Alive. Released through Say Some More Records in 1994, the track became a Belgian chart hit and quickly found favour across the European rave circuit, even turning up in WestBams legendary 1994 Mayday set. Raw, energetic and unmistakably 90s, Doctor X remains a name firmly etched into the eras underground dance history. Fast forward 32 years and were delighted to bring you Doctor Xs contemporary take on this absolute weapon, an inadvertent yet fitting tribute to Bonzai head honcho Fly.
The Original Mix retains the dancefloor energy of its 1994 cousin, with thumping kicks, heavy synth stabs and the iconic vocal.
Barcelonas Xavi BCN brings his distinct makina style to the remix, delivering a raucous rendition built to shake the foundations.
Alive And Kicking turns up the energy with classic offbeat donks, punchy drums and contrasting melodic pads, while the main vox melody sets up the ultimate hands-in-the-air moment.
Rounding things off is a short Radio Edit, primed for maximum impact.
